Day seven: Aliens, coffee and 3D birds

Last night Blackfriars in the Merchant City was host to two sell-out shows with Simon Watt delving into the mystery of morbidity and songstress Helen Arney entertaining us with a wonderful array of science puns and cosmic tunes!

The sciencey- fun in the pub continues tonight with a special screening of ‘Alien‘ in Blackfriars, followed by a Q&A with real astronomers as well as a sci-fi quiz, hosted by Prof Martin Hendry.

Meanwhile, in the University of Glasgow’s zoology department, don some 3D glasses and take a look at Life Among Feathers with Professor Edward Burt.

Fancy a bit of exercise tonight? Ditch the aerobics class and instead enjoy a Walk with Scotland’s Forgotten Birdman at the RSPB Lochwinnoch visitor centre.
