Wild Science in the Beautiful Borders

This Saturday 3rd May, our sister festival Dumfries and Galloway Wild Science Festival returns to the Crichton Campus in Dumfries. From 10am to 3.30pm, there are a plethora of fun activities to keep science fans of all ages entertained. . .  and all for free!

Find the “bees knees” – literally – with a microscope workshop by our friends at Three Minute Learning.  Then knit a cuddly one to take home.

Don’t miss the chance to knit your own bee!

Among the other activities are rocket-building (and launching!) workshops, delicious liquid nitrogen ice cream and CSI-style microscopy with NHS pathologists.  Discover the natural world in the Wild Science Zone by testing soil for nutrients or building your own butterfly feeder.

Build your own rocket

From jumping beans and slimemuck monsters to indoor tornados and mindstorm robots, you’re certain to find something to entertain and enlighten you. All in the beautiful Crichton campus setting.
